A New Way To Think About Helping Individuals
In Tough Times
None of us have ever been great philanthropists or supporters of causes but generally lean towards helping those we can in smaller, more localized ways, offering emotional support or otherwise doing favors and good deeds.
Sometimes the simplest offer of a bowl of soup can be the most significant and powerful support that someone can give. This small action, combined with the story of someone very close to us, has inspired us to create Chicken Soup, an organized way to raise funds for those in need. It’s a way to reach out and impact someone’s life in the short term with day-to-day simple needs like an electricity bill or groceries.
The mission of Chicken Soup is not to solve any world problem or conquer any disease, only to provide support and love through generous gestures, with the hope of bridging the gap between suffering and living a happy life.
We aim to select a viable recipient once a year, then devoting that year to raising funds for the individual. Please click to download a pdf and read the story of our first recipient, Chrissy, endorsed by Benjamin Gust.
